For pupils who are selected for SG 50 Youth Celebrate

Dear choir members,

Please note the following dates for recording:

1) 26th March- 12 noon to 6.30 pm at Pavane Recording Studio

2) 2nd April- Nanyang Primary School Music Room

3) 9th April - Pavane Recording Studio, 12 noon to 6.30 pm

We are having lunch at 12 noon, then we need to board the bus by 1.10 pm to avoid heavy traffic. Please inform your teachers early. Get the homework you need to do. You may expect long waiting time so please bring lots of work to do. Bring a sweater and water bottle as you may need them. You may want to bring your hp (if any) to call your parents in case the recording time needs to be extended. Before recording, no fried food, spicy and oily food. Please adhere to the instructions.

We will also need the first week of June holiday to record. Please inform the choir teachers if you need to go overseas early.

Dear members,

Please take note that these are the following timing for each group of pupils to take note.

Group 1: P3 to P5 Pupils (Pupils who are not doing recording)

16th March- Meet in school @ 9.10 am for attendance taking
                   - 12 noon: Bus back from CCAB Evans Road to Nanyang Primary School

17th March- Meet in school @ 9.10 am for attendance taking
                   - 12 noon: Bus back from CCAB Evans Road to Nanyang Primary School


Group 2: Pupils who are doing recording

16th March- Meet in school @ 9.10 am for attendance taking
                   - 12 noon: Bus back from CCAB Evans Road to Nanyang Primary School

17th March- Meet in school @ 9.10 am for attendance taking
                   - 5.30 pm: Bus back from CCAB Evans Road to Nanyang Primary School
                     Lunch is provided

18th March- Meet in school at 1.10 pm
                     School bus back @ NYPS: 5.30 pm
                     No lunch is provided

Attire: PE Attire

Pupils who are doing recording, please bring along a sweater, books or homework in case there is any waiting time.

All pupils remember to bring some snack as well as water bottles.

P6 Pupils: Don't need to take part in this event.

Please note that this is a Choir major event. P3 to P5, you are encouraged to take part.

SG 50 Youth Celebrate on 31st Jan 2015

Dear members,

SG 50 Youth Celebrate is a special event. Like the NDP show, it involves both singing and choreographed movements. It is heartening to see pupils who stayed discipline with hours of training.

As reflected in the schedule given earlier in the introductory letter, the next rehearsal will be during March holiday.

P5 and P6 pupils, it is optional for you to take part in this event. As for the recording that the Choir teachers mentioned earlier, it is purely by selection and audition. More details of the recording will be given to the students once Ministry has firm up the details.

CANCELLATION OF PRACTICE

Please note that there will be NO CHOIR PRACTICE this week on THURSDAY, 29 January AND FRIDAY, 30 January as our choir conductor is on medical leave.

As such, here are some instructions for students going for the MOE SG50 Youth Celebrate rehearsal.

1) Participating students are to submit their consent forms to Mrs Sheryl Toh on Thursday, 29 January. She will meet you after your respective assemblies in Music Room 2, or you can submit them to her locker (Locker 99), which is near the Staff Lounge in KRC, Level 2. 

2) Please note that the meeting time for this Saturday's rehearsal has been changed from 7.00 am to 7.30 am. Please gather at the Meeting Point.

3) Students are to be dressed in their PE attire. Girls are to wear their skirts as well.

4) Please bring along your music scores for rehearsal. 
    Other items to bring along are:
         - water bottle
         - a book to read
     Snacks will be provided by the Arts Education Branch for participants.
